The Cairn Rescue League is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization, completely dependent on your generosity to fulfill its mission of helping cairns in need. All cairns in the Cairn Rescue League program are fully vetted – they receive a comprehensive examination; are brought up-to-date on rabies, distemper, and bordatella (kennel cough) vaccines; tested for internal parasites, heart worm, Lyme disease, and ehrlichia; and are spayed and neutered if necessary. Many cairns need additional testing and procedures, such as dental work. Contributions toward these expenses are greatly appreciated, as are in-kind donations such as crates, collars and leashes, bowls, toys, bedding, food, and heart worm and flea preventive, as well as items that can be auctioned to raise additional funds, pre-paid phone cards for calls to shelters and vet’s offices, gift certificates, etc. All donations to the Cairn Rescue League are tax deductible.
